Objective #6: Define what a positive, negative, and zero correlation is.
Both of the article below explain positive and negative correlation.

These graphs show negative, positive and zero correlation.
NEGATIVE- goes from top left of graph and ends at he bottom right.
POSITIVE- goes from bottom of left to top of the right on the graph.
ZERO- scattered on the graph.
NEGATIVE- goes from top left of graph and ends at he bottom right.
POSITIVE- goes from bottom of left to top of the right on the graph.
ZERO- scattered on the graph.
Objective #7: Construct an experiment from a given hypothesis and identify the independent and dependent variables.
INDEPENDENT- variable that you have control over. DEPENDENT- variable that depends on the independent variable
Jayden's Dog:
The independent variable is the bell in this case because you have the power to ring whenever you want. The dog is the dependent variable because it depends on whether the bell rang so it can go eat. The variable intervene with one another because when the bell is rang, the dog interprets that there is food ready for him wherever the bell has rung at. |
Objective #8: Describe the process of neural transmission.
Neural transmission- this occurs when a neuron is activated.

This is a good picture that shows the process of neural transmissions.
Objective #9: Describe the structure of the human nervous system.
These two article explain the human nervous system.
Objective #10: Describe research on the split brain.
This article explains what each hemisphere of the brain does.

Objective #11: Identify and describe the variables that produce conformity and obedience.
Factors that contribute to conformity are gender differences, age differences, social influences, and nominative influences. These effect our opinions and behaviors. Factors that contribute to obedience are authority figure, chance of harm, and personal responsibility. These effect how we change our behavior.
A ruler would be an example of variable of conformity and obedience.
